The V076133261 allows designers a great deal of flexibility in selecting external components and topology to implement their specific power-supply needs. With appropriate heat sinking, the designer can build a regulator with as much current capability as allowed by the external MOSFET and power supply. And, because the dropout of the regulator simply is the product of the RDS(on) of the external power MOSFET and the load current, very low dropout can be achieved via proper selection of the power MOSFET.
  The V076133261/829 are CMOS chargeCpump voltage converters in ultraCsmall SOTC23 5 lead packages. They invert and/or double an input voltage which can range from +1.5V076133261 to +5.5V076133261. Conversion efficiency is typically >95%. Switching frequency is 12kHz for the V076133261 and 35kHz for the MAX829.   External component requirement is only two capacitors (3.3µF nominal) for standard voltage inverter applications. With a few additional components a positive doubler can also be built. All other circuitry, including control, oscillator, power MOSFETs are integrated onCchip. Supply current is 50 µA (V076133261) and 115 µA (MAX829).   The V076133261 and MAX829 are available in a SOTC23 5 lead surface mount package.
The core power supply for the V076133261 should be 3.3V 10%, while the periphery supports supply from 3V to 5.5V (5V 10% for TTL-compatible applications). Therefore, by selecting 3.3V ROM, SRAM and DAC, it is possible to develop low-power/low-volt- age portable applications.
